Legal Assistance Forum in cooperation with Kishan Garh Bas Taluka Legal Services Authority organized legal awareness camp on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti at village Jodiya, Kishangarh Bar Sub Division, Alwar District, Rajasthan. The function was presided over by Shri Vinod Kumar Arya, Additional District Judge, Kishangarh Baas, Alwar, Rajsthan. Mr. Sher Singh Yadav, President, Kishangarh Baas Bar Association and other leading lawyers of the Bar attended the function. The function was attended by more than 500 villagers.

Mr. Vijay Hansaria, President, LAF enlightened and apprised the residents of village Jodiya about their Constitutional right to live with dignity and various facets of right to life under Article 21 of the Constitution of India was explained. He called upon the young girls and boys of the village to fight against dowry system.

Mr. K.S.Bhati, Treasurer, LAF said about the availabiliy of legal aid under the Legal Services Authority Act to the women, children and the poor section of the society. Mr. Bhati also assured that LAF would rendered itself wherever needed in this regard.

Ms. Ritu Bhardwaj, Member, LAF informed the people about the law prohibiting female infanticide.

Members of the Forum including Ms. Minakshi Sharma, Anupam Mishra and Sneha Kalita distributed few books written in Hindi language on topics like Law on rape, dowry prohibition, FIR, Divorce, Maintenance of women and child, offence relating to marriage to bring awareness on these issues among the residents of the village.
